London Marathon Visitor
This week Kaitlin’s Mum came in to talk to us about how she took part in the London Marathon. She told us all about the race and brought in her medal and running number to show us; she also let us try out the noisemakers that the supporters used on the day. We watched a clip from the BBC Iplayer and were able to spot her as she crossed London Bridge with lots of other runners, which was very exciting! Many of us had questions about the day, such as ‘how did you feel at the end of the race?’ and ‘why did you run it?’ Mrs Cummings explained that she was running to support the charity ‘Children with Cancer UK’. We thought that it would be a fantastic achievement to run a marathon after we saw how puffed out we got running on the spot for a few seconds! Well done Mrs Cummings!
